*Sigh*
Tomorrow, almost everybody will be enjoying another day off from work. A week after, they will be enjoying another long weekend. So sad, I’m not one them. Last Friday, work was suspended for half day in our office but together with some colleagues, I had to stay behind.
I can’t wait for this training to be over. I still have until the end of the month to wait though.
I can’t even check for blogging opportunities. And just yesterday, there appeared a mysterious line in our laptop. Gash! Now we have to return it to HP for the warranty thingy. Argh!
*Think of happy thoughts* *Think of happy thoughts*
Speaking of happy thoughts…
Got myself a nouveau phone.
Enfin, got myself a postpaid plan. We (including Joven) think it’s much cheaper to get one than to load credits to the two phones (personal & business) I’m currently using. Yay! La lang. Hihi!
Last Friday, Joven and I were eating breakfast when I felt pain in my stomach. The pain felt like someone was twisting my stomach every few seconds. Beads of sweat lined my forehead and I was withered by pain. I told Joven that I can’t go to work (at least for the moment). I texted my boss and told him that I need to rest for that morning and will try to go to work that afternoon. Joven stayed with me the whole time. I slept it off and felt somewhat better. I got up in time for lunch but right after eating, I felt the pain again.
That’s when we decided that I should rest for the day. The pain, unfortunately, came after every time I eat. I thought that it was just gas and my usual hyper acidity. Every night before going to bed, I drink Anmum. This time a few minutes after I did, I threw up everything I ate — it seems like everything I ate for the day (yuck! sorry!). That’s when I felt the relief.
The following day, we were supposed to go to Ry’s “party” but we headed to my OB instead. She was quite surprised to see me since our next appointment wouldn’t be until the end of August I told her everything that happened yesterday. She asked me to lie down and she started pressing my stomach. She asked if the areas she pressed was painful. After a few more q’s, she said that I had acute gastroenteritis.
She prescribed me some meds and she told me to be on soft diet for the day. She said that I can start introducing solids the following day. She also said that I should watch what I eat.
Haay.
I’m much better now after resting my stomach for a few days. I think I’m back to my normal appetite. Nuninu.
Yesterday though, my nephew contracted sore eyes! He was immediately quarantined to Pasig. I thought that we’re safe until I got a text from my mom this morning. She said that she has it too! Yikes! I hope Joven and I won’t catch it too.
Any tips?
Last July 22, Jef celebrated his 6th birthday. His Mommie and Dada gave him a simple birthday party at home.
Spaghetti, hotdogs and marshmallows on-a-stick, lumpiang shanghai, ice cream and vanilla cake for the kids.
Adobo español and kaldereta for the adults.
And green puto for the neighbors. Hehe.
A very, very long birthday song
More pics can be found in Flickr.
Of course there were games!
Statue dance:
Guess who won. Jef of course! (LUTO!)
There was also “Bring Me” and longest “Happy Birthday Jef” contest. I think the adults had more fun teasing the kids in the latter. Hehe.
I’d say it was a success! Jef was very happy. He kept on saying “I love you” and “It’s great!” to Ate Desire and Fel. Sulit ang pagod!
