Anytime Soon

Last Saturday, Dionne had her regular checkup. It’s still the reliever because the doctor seems to be having a grand time on her vacation. She called her secretary days before to inform her that she’s extending her stay. We just hope she’ll be here in time for the delivery.

Speaking of delivery, I still haven’t realized how near it is until Dionne came out from the doctor’s office. She handed me a piece of paper which I thought was her meds. She told me that it was an endorsement for the delivery room. If it hurts or any other sign, we’re going to the delivery room.

WHAT?! I was dumbfounded when I heard it. It took me some time to process the information… Wow. It’s been eight months since the news. Issie is going to be with us soon.

Anytime soon. Wow.

Super Mango

Super Mango

Bigger than a 300ml bottle of mineral water…

Almost as big as a papaya…

It’s… SUPER MANGO!

Fel brought home this monstrosity of a fruit last Friday. It’s Tuesday now and we still haven’t eaten it.

Mommie says they’re waiting for it to get ripe so that they can plant the buto (seed?) to create more super mangoes.

Speaking of mangoes, I think this is Dionne’s pinaglilihihan as every morning she would have mango shake from the second floor canteen. She also has a stock of Gina mango juice at home. Hmm.

Transform and … Pop!

Yesterday, we went for an unscheduled visit to Dionne’s OB because she’s been sick for the past few days. She was beginning to worry about our baby.

At around 10:30AM we were on our way to Chinese General Hospital. When we got there, there were already five other women in the queue. We had to wait for around 30 minutes before the doctor came. Then an hour for our turn.

When we got inside the clinic, the doctor asked her questions on how she feels now and how long it’s been since she got sick. She prescribed some meds for Dionne to take for one week. I do hope she feels better now.

As part of the routine checkup, the doctor listens to baby’s heartbeat via the doppler. For the past tow sessions, I missed hearing this. Not this time!

At the sight of the oil (was that oil?) being applied on Dionne’s tummy, I bolted up from my chair and stood on the doctor’s left. Unfortunately for me, baby wasn’t as steady as before so it was hard to get a reading. But I did get to hear a few seconds of it…

POP-POP-POP!

Wow. Simply wow.

After the movie, we had lunch at home then went to SM San Lazaro to pay my credit card bill that was due on that day.

I originally just had permission for a half-day leave, which was extended to a whole day, thanks to the kindness of my boss. Although I still feel I am entitled to at least two weeks vacation for the work that I did in London. But that’s for another post. Hehe.

I got to spend the whole afternoon with Dionne. Yey!

We were surprised by the number of people at SM on a Thursday, and at 2PM! It could be because it’s the first day for Transformers!

Having missed a lot of good movies the past month, we (at least, I, hehe) wouldn’t want to miss this one.

And did we have a blast with the movie!

I was in awe when I saw their new looks. Bumblebee is … Oops. Sorry about that.

And Megratron! He’s … OOOPS. Sorry again. Just watch the movie. If you’re a fan of the original series (not the Primal one), you’ll love this one.

I do hope there’s going to be a sequel.

(Anybody wants to play Transformers TCG? I’d rather have the toys!)
