Issie’s stranger anxiety has become more apparent. A few days ago, Lola Nanay (Joven’s mom) came for a visit. When she saw her lola entering the house, she started wailing. She did the same to her Tita Mae (Joven’s sister). I tried to ease her anxiety by talking to Nanay and Mae while I was carrying her. Slowly, I would move closer to them. Before Nanay and Mae left, Nanay tried to carry Issie but she still cried.

Last week, we went to her pedia for a routine check-up and vaccine. She was smiling and playing when we entered her doctor’s clinic but as soon as Dr. Chua came near her she started crying. And mind you, her cry sounded like somebody pinched her! Dr. Chua commented in jest, “Marunong ka nang umarte ah!”

What’s weird is that when her Tito Jeff (Joven’s bother) went for a visit, she didn’t cry when he carried her. She even smiled and played with him. She did the same to my cousin and uncle.

I can’t help but wonder if she prefers certain faces over others. Hmmm….

Thank God for Vonage. I was able to talk to Joven last night. I guess that somewhat helped me sleep well… so well that I overslept. Haha.

At least I was still able to get to the office before 8am. We’re still trying to establish a new routine at home. It’s a bit challenging because I have to tell Issie’s nanny what to do most of the time. I’m not actually very comfortable doing that. Di kasi ako pala-utos.

With all the fuss around, my daughter has remained great. She sleeps through the night with a few milk drinking in between. She’s seldom fussy and giggles at Mommy’s antics. I can’t believe that it’s been 5 months already! By the time Joven gets back, she’ll be 8-months-old. *Sigh*
