Sticky Post: Routine
I was invited by Nice on her Momma stuff blog to share my thoughts on routines.
Do you have routines for your kids? Care to share? Does it really help?
Just like her, I think routines are important because it brings consistency in a child’s life.
And for Issie, I think that she learns/understands things faster when things are done on a regular basis. Before, she would wail whenever she takes a bath but since she does this everyday, she now enjoys her baths.
Here’s our routine at home:
Issie wakes up around 8am.
She would say good morning to everyone in the house including the ref (where some family pictures are), mirror and Lola Mommie’s plants and flowers.
She sits in her stroller as we eat breakfast.
She takes a short nap after.
She takes a bath at around 10am (depends on what time she wakes up).
She plays in her mat with her toys.
She again sits in her stroller during lunch.
She takes another nap.
We again play with her toys.
She gets cleaned up for bed.
She again sits in her stroller during dinner.
I read to her.
We play some more.
I put on her jammies.
Cuddle, cuddle. Until she falls asleep which is between 9:30-10:30pm
